Relief in Understanding Yourself with Human Design
Drawing on different models including the Enneagram, Human Design, and developmental stages, I open the door to a huge sense of relief as you gain a better understanding of why you are the way you are, what your strengths are, and what questions just might not be helpful to you. The Enneagram is a rich spiritual tool that shows us our view of the world and what coping strategies we might have outgrown. Human Design gives us the roadmap of our internal energetic design so that we can make decisions authentically rather than unconsciously reacting to the external world. Human Design has brought me and clients great relief in understanding themselves.
What People Say When They See Their Design
We are each so different in our make-up. And society wants us to think we are all the same. Understanding the different ways of being, the different types of energy, and where our solid ground is can be a huge relief.
I understand now that I’m not going crazy!”
That’s how a recent client described what it felt like to understand her human design. She came to me for EFT work but it quickly became clear to me that knowing about her design would help her navigate the changes she was looking to make.
I’m having so much fun now!”
A mom of three who wants a better relationship with her children learns about her children’s design types and makes radical changes in how she relates to them. EFT helps her release the frustration she’s experienced from not understanding this and address the hurt she has felt herself.
Design Helps Us Parent and Relate to Others Better
With an understanding of our design, we can better understand the energy patterns of ourselves and others, how we are defined and influence others, and where we are open to the influence of others. We all have different ways of using our energy and knowing our design can be life-changing.
Did You Know?
- Some of us do are designed to respond to what’s around us. Yes/no questions are incredibly clarifying.
- Some of us aren’t meant to be asked.
- And others of us need time, space, and recognition to talk things out?
For those of you who want to explore, there is much information online about human design, many books, ebooks, recordings, study groups, and so on. There is no one reference that I whole-heartedly recommend. Like living your design in its uniqueness, finding helpful information is also a unique journey. In the past, I have learned from and enjoyed Kim Gould, Karen Curry and Zeno of HumanDesignSystem.com.
Celebrate Who You Are
Start reading and start experimenting and see what you notice. If you feel resistance to what you discover, that’s the chance to use some tapping to clear out the old beliefs about who you are. However, learning to use our energy is a process that can’t necessarily be rushed. So be gentle with yourself, celebrate in who you are, and know that this information is here to serve you.
Helping You with Human Design
In my work with clients, I use Human Design as part of the process. Understanding your chart lets me give you tips navigating your energy. Here is a letter from a triple-split emotionally defined person. Hear the relief in her words.
I recently found a great post by Kim Gould on understanding gates in Human Design. She lays out well some foundations, some resources, and the idea that our understanding of the gates will change over time and with different authors. https://www.loveyourdesign.com/gates/
