There’s a reason it’s been hard to feel better, actually two reasons. One is that intense, uncomfortable, unbudging feelings are tied to a stuckness in the body’s energy system. Yep, it’s not just in your head or something to muscle through. Not understanding this body-based connection to feelings makes it much more painful to move through the intense feelings.
Secondly, when you’re in the middle of sorting out the hard stuff, your perspective narrows, and it’s more difficult to remember your wholeness and the underlying expansion that wants to happen. When you can’t hold that space of compassion and acceptance for yourself, it’s hard to move forward.
You can feel better, better than you expect, with two things, the right tools and compassionate respect for your journey.
A 1980 breakthrough in energy-psychology methods led to the development of new tools that bring positive, lasting changes to our feelings in a relatively short amount of time. Intense feelings can authentically transform quickly. It no longer has to take months of painful talking and feeling the hard stuff to find relief. Once you have the right tools, you can now realize that you aren’t broke. You are doing the best you can with the resources you have, and you don’t deserve any of the bad stuff that happened to you. When you can’t hold that space of self-acceptance, it’s really okay to let someone else do that for you as you heal. You are not broken, I promise you.
